Generations Blitzwing
Class: Voyager
Price: $22 USD/$30 CDN
Available: Now
Blitzwing is pretty nice looking in his robot form and reasonably
durable. For some reason, they decided to give the toy the TF
Animated character's thing where he had multiple personalities and a
face to go along with each one. Since the Generations toys are
supposed to be kind of updated forms of G1 characters I'm not sure I
entirely understand the logic behind this move. Oh well. :)
The transformations are not so good though. I had trouble getting
the jet cone to lock in place as well at the entire jet and tank
forms. I could get them close but never "perfect". Not sure if this
was my toy or all of them are like that. Sadly, such issues affect
my love for the toy. Neither mode locks together well and it hurts
both. Is this because it's a triple changer? Most likely, yes.
Verdict: Average. Great
for the G1 update but not such a great toy overall.

Generations Springer
Class: Voyager
Price: $22 USD/$30 CDN
Available: Now
Like with Blitzwing, I had trouble changing this guy between forms
and getting it all to lock down. Still, I have a fondness for
Springer and he does look especially good in robot mode. His vehicle
modes are a bit better then Blitzwing's but could be better still
(the third party Warbot Defender does it all better, to be
perfectly honest). A cool G1 homage overall and worth it for
die-hard fans.
Verdict: Good. Not a
perfect toy but decent enough overall and the price is right.

Generations Sandstorm
Class: Voyager
Price: $22 USD/$30 CDN
Available: Now
Same issues with Sandstorm as with the other two above. I do think
he was slightly more stable in his vehicle forms then the
others though. There's also something inherently cool about his VTOL
plane mode too. :)
Verdict: Good. Best of
the three.

Prime Beast Hunters Grimwing
Class: Voyager
Price: $22 USD/$30 CDN
Available: Now
I got both versions of this toy (but decided to open and review
Grimwing). A nice, stable robot form and a decent beast form as
well. I do kind of think he could do with a better weapon though
(like a spear or something). Instead, he has a grappling hook
launcher thing which is okay, I guess... the green on this toy is
pretty and distinctive.
Verdict: Good. Worth
picking up if you like beast TFs.

Prime Beast Hunters Sharkitcon Megatron
Class: Voyager
Price: $22 USD/$30 CDN
Available: Now
I was initially planning to pass on this guy but changed my mind and
picked on up anyway (he's a bit scarce around here). He's better
then I'd expected. The new colors add something to the Megatron mold
(he's an extensive remold of the original Prime Voyager
Megatron, btw). I admit the shark motif is kind of stupid (it's also
not really referenced in Predacons Rising--this form's only
appearance in-canon). Overall, the beast-ish form and new colors
somehow work with the toy. I also like his new arm blade things.
Verdict: Good.
