Fall of Cybertron Decepticon Frenzy and Ratbat
Class: Legends
Price: $11USD/$13 CDN
Available: Now (everywhere)
I like the concept behind the data disc toys--new versions of the
classic Recordacons that can fit inside the FOC
Soundwave/Soundblaster toys. The execution though leaves a bit to be
desired. Frenzy is now red (compared to the G1 toy which was blue,
even if the cartoon had it reversed). Both Frenzy and Rumble strike
me as flimsy. Ratbat is the same mold as Laserbeak (but with a
different head and color scheme). Both are decent toys but neither
will ever take the place of the G1 versions (only the Masterpiece
ones can do that! :)
Verdict: Average.

Fall of Cybertron Ravage and Decepticon Rumble
Class: Legends
Price: $11 usd/13 cdn
Available: Now (everywhere)
Rumble is now blue (like the G1 cartoon). He's an okay mold but
that's not really high praise. Ravage is the worst toy of the two
sets--he doesn't want to stay in disc mode (at least my toy doesn't)
and he's flimsy. Also he looks stupid in jaguar mode. Neither set
has weapons, which it seems like maybe they should have (it might've
made them a little bit better).
Verdict: Average. Ravage is the worst
toy of the bunch.

Prime: Beast Hunters Twinstrike
Class: Cyberverse Legends
Price: $6 usd/8 cdn

I had an original G1 Sinnertwin (who this character is based off).
This toy is a decent Legends sized toy. He transforms relatively
easily and looks good in both modes (and has a little weapon to go
with him too. I always prefer they have at least something for an
accessory). In robot mode he looks like he has two sets of arms
(which is weird) but his beast head hands hold his weapon (I just
realized from the back cover they are supposed to fold up as
shoulder things. Oops. My bad!) Anyway, a good toy in general for
its size class.
Verdict: Very Good. A must
buy!

Prime: Beast Hunters Hun-Gurrr
Class: Cyberverse Legends
Price: $6 - $8
Available: Now (everywhere)
I never had a G1 Hun-Grrr but this guy is a decent stand-in (if much
smaller). He's red and grey this time out (instead of purple and
grey) but his robot mode is reasonably sturdy given the size and he
looks good in beast mode as well. Easy to transform and well thought
out overall.
Verdict: Very Good. A must buy for G1
fans!
Prime: Beast Hunters Shockwave
Class: Cyberverse Commander
Price: $8- $10
Available: Now (everywhere)
I had to have this cute lil' Shockwave the
instant I saw him in the store. His robot mode is quite cool
looking given the toy's size. I wish I could say the same about
his tank mode though. As was the case with Commander Megatron
last year, the vehicle mode looks like a mess at this size and
complexity. It looks almost like the robot fell over and got his
limbs tangled up rather then a believable vehicle mode on its
own (to be fair, I'm pretty sure I screwed up where his arm is
supposed to go too which doesn't help the overall look of it
either). He also comes with a firing missile for his cannon
(it's a little tricky to fire at first but decent once you get
the hang of it).
Verdict:
Good (based mostly the merits of his robot
mode look),
