Reveal The Shield
Windcharger
$7 USD/$10 CDN. (extremely hard to find. I
happened upon one at a convention for $20 CDN.)
Available: 2011
I never had a G1 Windcharger (the closest I had was Tailgate) but
this toy is an excellent update to the original character and
manages to stay true to it's design. His transformation is similar
to the original toy's as well (it's easy enough to do, unlike many
of his contemporaries from last year). He even comes with little arm
cannons!
Verdict:
Excellent! A must buy if
you don't have one (and can get one for a reasonable price).

Legion (Legends) Class Vehicon
$5 USD/$7 CDN.
Available: Now
This toy's a bit static in robot mode (that is, he could
be a bit more poseable, but I guess he's okay for his size).
I'm also not certain I have the car mode completely perfect in
the pictures (he looks a bit "off" to me).
Verdict:
Good. Is a bit simple
but decent for the size and price.

Legion (Legends) Class Ratchet
$5 USD/$7 CDN
Available: Now
This is a reasonably good version of the Prime Ratchet (at least
until I get my Deluxe version anyway). The face has no details
to it but he does come with a little gun/sword, which is kind
of cool (I always wondered why the smaller class TF toys
didn't get guns. Now, they do!)
Verdict: Good. A decent enough
toy for the price.

Commander (Scout) Class Megatron
$10 USD (TRU U.S. price)/$9.93 CDN (Wal-mart
price)
Available: Now
(There is also a
"Mini-DVD" version of this toy available in the U.S. for
$12)
The robot mode of this toy is quite impressive given its
smaller size. Sadly, the vehicle mode (which is supposed to be
a futuristic jet) looks really bad. From the front it looks
like Megatron slipped on a banana peel and flattened out
against the ground or something. :) I'm hoping the
larger versions of Megatron look less stupid in vehicle mode.
Verdict:
Good (primarily for
the robot mode. Otherwise, a mixed bag when you factor in the
"jet" mode).

Commander (Scout) Class Starscream
$10 USD (TRU U.S. price)/$9.93 CDN (Wal-mart
price)

(There is also a "Mini-DVD"
version of this toy available in the U.S. for $12)
I've had ample opportunities to pick up Prime Starscream before
now (there's the "First Edition" toy and the two-pack with
Bumblebee) but his robot mode design is very unappealing to
me. Since the Commander
toy is tiny, cheap and colorful, I decided to spring for it.
The toy's transformation scheme is fairly straight-forward and
fits together well. The robot mode is pretty in this instance
(but I will always prefer the G1 character design).
Verdict:
Good. What else is there to say? :)
