INTRODUCTION
It's the dog days of summer! BotCon and TFCon have come and passed
(as well as SDCC and countless others). Dark of the Moon has come and gone, making
millions in the process (but perdictably alienating a lot of long
time TF fans in the process).
With SDCC came news that Simon Furman and Andrew
Wildman will indeed be doing a Marvel continuity revival with Transformers #81, which is
good news for those of us who loved the old series. More Then Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise will round
out next year's IDW line-up, continuing their already established
continuity.
This issue sees reviews of Challenge of the Gobots (the
original miniseries) as well as Shout's Headmasters DVD set. Also, at long last, I got
my Generations toys of
Warpath, Wheeljack, Skywarp, Kup and Scourge so look for reviews
of these great toys as well.
Special thanks to Rosemary Ward for more
wonderful artwork. Be sure to follow her other fandom efforts on http://screamer.alt-world.com.
Thanks to Peter Phelps for more of his character creations,
including Movie versions of Roadbuster and Whirl. And a big thanks
also to Jay Gutzman for supplying me with a large number of
character profiles which will see print over many issues to come
(there are a lot!)
I hope you enjoy this latest issue. Comments
are always welcome, be they praise, criticism or just general
questions. Contributions are also welcome!
