Combiner Wars Optimus Prime
Class: Voyager
Price: $25 USD/$30-35 CDN

I've seen a lot of opinions online that Motormaster is the real
purpose of this mold and that the Optimus Prime version was an
afterthought and/or that it sucks. I have to disagree. While this
isn't the definitive Optimus Prime toy I do think it's a pretty good
release. The detailing in robot mode is excellent. Additionally,
Prime comes with a large gun (for his combiner mode) that splits in
two for the Prime toy proper. He looks bad-ass with two guns! The
toy is very poseable and an excellent size (Voyager) to work with
other TFs. The truck mode is also decent looking and he's not too
hard to change between modes.
Verdict: Excellent. Worth
picking up.

Generations Brainstorm
Class: Voyager
Price: $20 USD/$30 CDN

I never owned a G1 Brainstorm (I had G1 Hardhead, Weirdwolf and
Mindwipe though). The original toy always looked cool and I would've
loved to have gotten one. This new Generations toy is the first time
Brainstorm's been remade and they've done an excellent job updating
him. The new toy is ridiculously easy to transform and very poseable
compared to the old G1 version. He also comes with two blasters. My
only complaint, really, is that the Headmaster could be a bit
better. He's too, well, chunky. The original Headmaster pilots
seemed more flexible and a bit more poseable. This partner has large
arm pieces and a swivel-able head--but I'm not sure that's a great
feature for a HM toy (I fear it snapping off if someone puts too
much pressure on the figure when combined with the larger body.
Indeed, the head has a switch to loosen it for removal when changing
to fighter mode). All in all, though, this is a great toy and
totally worth the investment for G1 fans.
Verdict: Excellent.
