Robots in Disguise Strong Arm
Class: Warrior (Deluxe)
Price: $15-17 USD/$17-19 CDN
Available: Now
Strong Arm is one of those rare female characters in the
Transformers lore, designed new for the current RID concept Hasbro
is currently promoting. As a toy I don't have that much to say about
it really. Strong Arm transforms into an SUV and as such her toy is
bulky and square in robot form (in my opinion, bulky TFs are just
fine. They're easier to design and not so over-complicated when one
is trying to change them between forms. I wouldn't mind a few more
toys made like this). The RID toys were obviously designed more for
kids (imagine that! Toys for kids!) as they're more simplistic in
design and scheme but I'm fine with that. She's reasonably poseable
and comes with a gun. A good toy all around.
Verdict: Good.

Robots in Disguise Grimlock
Class: Warrior (Deluxe)
Price: $15-17 USD/$17-19 CDN
Available: Now
The first thing I noticed about this iteration of Grimlock was that
he was green (character-wise, he seems closer to Bulkhead then the
traditional Grimlock). This version also lacks any kind of weapon (I
always think Grimlock should have a sword at least). Otherwise, this
is a decent toy. He's simple to transform and poseable. I wouldn't
say he's my favorite toy of Grimlock but he's good for what he is
and a welcome addition to the RID line-up.
Verdict: Good.

Generations Arcee
Class: Deluxe
Price: $15-17 USD/$17-19 CDN

At long last, an authentic official G1 style Arcee toy from Hasbro.
The toy's pretty good overall and a worthy addition. She's poseable
and easy to change between forms (I've noticed all of these Arcee
toys seem to use similar transformation schemes. Of course, there's
only so many ways to change forms, so...) Arcee comes with four
different weapons--two guns for G1 purists and two sword/guns for
IDW fans. I have three G1 style Arcee toys (two are third party
releases). This falls in the middle in my opinion (MGT-01 is the
best one overall, imo). Ignoring the third party stuff though, this
release is an excellent representation of G1 Arcee and a must buy.
Verdict: Excellent!

Generations Chromia
Class: Deluxe
Price: $15-17 USD/$17-19 CDN
Available: Now
I love the look of this toy's motorcycle mode. It reminds me of
something out of Tron! She also looks pretty good in robot form too
and is quite poseable. The vehicle mode was a little bit tricky--you
have to massage the parts a bit to get them to lock into place. The
card pic on the back shows Chromia with two guns and then my card
has a little sticker added saying that the second gun isn't included
(it appears they gave it to Arcee instead. She has four weapons
total versus Chromia's one). This toy is a great addition to the
mythos and it's great to see another femme toy (even if I've never
seen either Arcee or Chromia at retail around where I live).
Recommended, if you can find one.
Verdict: Excellent!
